Problem
Empire Facility Management is a widely trusted name backed by schools, industrial sites, and major commercial clients. Their website didn't reflect that.
Information was disorganized and hard to navigate, and the outdated design didn't match the scale or professionalism of the company itself.
Previous Homepage
An overwhelming amount of text with little visual support makes it hard to find a clear call to action on the homepage.
Previous Services page
The list of services is buried under an overwhelming amount of preceding text, making it difficult to actually find.
Previous About Us
Large amounts of information that is hard to read due to text contrast and alignment issues.
Previous Operations page
Dense certification details on the operations page
go largely unread by visitors.
PROCESS
EFM needed a clearer sense of direction. The process started with gathering sites they admired for inspiration, paired with a full audit of their existing site's structure and content.

Client-referenced inspiration: D2L and GDI's websites.
A recurring question guided most decisions: how much information is actually useful before it becomes overwhelming?
Pages were combined and simplified with that in mind, cutting clutter without losing the personal, family-owned feel that's core to who EFM is.
